Benjamin Murray brings more than 13 years of executive culinary leadership to Umami Riot Experience, built across some of Miami's most decorated kitchens and multi-unit restaurant groups nationwide. He led the kitchen at Pao by Paul Qui at Miami's Faena Hotel, recognized by Forbes and Michelin and named Eater Miami's Restaurant of the Year in 2017, and most recently served as Culinary Director for Immigrant Food in Washington, DC. Murray grew up cooking with influences from both his mother's native Japan and his father's American kitchen—a blend of discipline and creativity he brings to every kitchen he leads.
